Hello Grade 6 Band Families!
Welcome to the Martin Area Band program! A package of
information will be sent home with your student today – we hope they had a
fantastic first day back to school!
I thought it would be helpful to email out the information
too, in case the band note gets lost in the shuffle of the busy first days of
school.

Topics you will find in the package (attached) include:
- How to obtain an instrument
- Other supplies required including the red method book
- When band starts and a schedule for Sept-Dec
- **The Headstart Clinic on Sept 18, 4:30-7:30 at McLurg School**
- Winter Concert Date: December 11
- An instrument loan form for families who are renting an instrument through the school (bass clarinet, french horn, euphonium, tuba)
Students do not need to bring their instruments to school
until the Headstart Clinic. We also recommend that they do not open and try to
play their instruments before learning valuable beginner information at the
clinic.
