Spring Concert and other news

SPRING CONCERT 2019
And other news!!

Hello Band Families!

Our final concert of the year will be held on WEDNESDAY, May 22 at Martin Collegiate, 7:00pm.  All students should arrive no later than 6:30pm with uniforms, instruments, and prepared music.

As in the past, we will be having our traditional BAKE SALE in the front lobby.  Band students can bring one dozen of their favorite treats (no nuts!) on a disposable plate or tray to the lobby when they arrive at the concert.  All bake sale items will sell for $5.00 per dozen.

Other news:
  • We will have Summer Band Camp information at the concert for anyone wishing to attend.  This is a wonderful opportunity and an excellent way for students to learn new musical and technical skills, make new friends, have fun, and improve sound and technique on their particular instrument.
  • Soon the students will be given new band registration forms for the upcoming year.  They are due back to Mrs. Strykiwsky, Mrs. Swann or Ms. Stetner (or the school secretary) by June 13. Please do not include money with the form.  Payment for band students that are bussed to full band or using school division instruments is not due until the end of September.  Just fill out the form and return!  Our hope is to see everyone back next year!!!!
  • Anyone using a school owned instrument should have it returned to the Martin stage immediately following our spring concert on the 22nd in order for summer cleaning and repair.

See you at the concert on Wednesday, May 22!!!!
